Zoe Jakes
Zoe has been touring far and wide with Bellydance Superstars since the fall of 2005. She can be seen performing on the Tribal Fusions DVD, and has a new instructional coming out which is available through Bellydance Superstars.
In 2007 Zoe joined forces with David Satori and Tommy Cappel to create the band Beats Antique, which has received critical acclaim for its albums Tribal Derivations and, most recently, Collide. She currently performs with The Indigo, a San Francisco Based Dance company, and the Yard Dogs Road Show.
An innovative dancer, Zoe has been said to have her own unique take on Tribal bellydance. She takes her influence from Art Nouveau, tango, hip hop, and Indian classical dance. Zoe was nominated for Zaghareet's best interpretive artist, 2007.

Lets get to the root of it all! Tribal fusion drills for your personal practice at home. This is the meat and potatoes of it all, your "Dance Spine"...Information to use all year! We will use specific pilates and yoga based exercises to strengthen the core muscles necessary for backbends, belly rolls, and tight hip work. Hip, head, shoulder and chest isolations will be drilled, as well as working on smoothing transitions from move to move. We will go over lots of pop-lock technique, as well as fluidity of movement, stressing on posture and upper body awareness. And you will sweat!!!!Where
